Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 – What’s the Difference?

Trying to decide between the Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 Plan?
Wondering how they’re different? And which is the best plan for you?
You came to the right place!
Nutrisystem is always reworking their plans and introducing new options – like the new Complete 55 Diet Plan.
They’ve also combined the 2 Uniquely Yours plan into one and now just call it the Uniquely Yours Max plan.
So what’s the difference?
This post will help you break down the key differences between the Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 plans so you can find the right fit for you.
Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours Max vs Complete 55: Design
The main thing to start with is who the plans were designed for:
The Uniquely Yours Max program is a diet plan for all women in general. It’s Nutrisystem’s premium plan – offering more perks and better meals than the Basic plan.
The Complete 55 plan is specifically designed for women in their menopausal and perimenopausal years.
Unfortunately, as we ladies get older and hormones start to change, so does our metabolism.
Things that we might have done to lose weight in our 20s and 30s just don’t work as well anymore – because it’s not just about calories.
It’s also about things like your hormones, blood sugar and macronutrient deficiencies that we develop over time.
The Complete 55 plan is designed to address these issues and help women lose weight despite these challenges.
The program itself is really designed to be 3 months for maximum results (although obviously you can stop whenever you wish).
It focuses more on giving you higher protein ratios and keeping blood sugar stable – more than the Uniquely Yours plan.
So one plan isn’t better than another from this perpective. It’s just that the Uniquely Yours plan is designed to be more general. And the Complete 55 plan is more targeted at solving specific issues that women over 40 may have in their lives.
Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 – Days Per Week
The Uniquely Yours plan gives you the option to get breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for 5 days a week or 7 days a week.
If you only get meals delivered for 5 days a week, you’ll be adding in you own Flex meals for 2 days out of the week. This is a great option if you want to take the weekend off.
You’ll be given guidelines on how to make Flex meals, examples, recipes and more from your Nutrisystem app. But it does mean you’ll be responsible for meals for 2 days of the week.
If you go with the 7 day a week plan – you don’t have to make these Flex meals and all your meals will be covered by Nutrisystem (except for the snacks/fruit/veggies etc that you’ll be adding throughout the day).
This is easier overall if you don’t have time to prepare meals (or you just don’t want to do the extra prep while you’re losing weight.)
With the Complete 55 plan, it’s a bit different. As stated above, the plan is meant to run about 3 months (however you can stop it when you want).
For the first month you’ll get 7 days of meals a week. So for the first month you pretty much have everything done for you.
Then the second and third month, you’ll get 5 days of meals a week – while adding in your own Flex meals. This is meant to slowly move you towards transitioning off the diet, getting used to making food with proper portion sizes, etc.
So to sum up – with the Uniquely Yours plan, you have the option of 5 or 7 days right from the start.
Because the Complete 55 is a more targeted plan, you must start with 7 days of meals a week – then move down to 5 days. (You can of course add on Nutrisystem extra meals in the 2nd and 3rd months if you want – and purhcase them separately).
Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 – Price
The Uniquely Yours option is a bit more affordable – starting around $12.86 per day.
However, it’s important to note that that is the 5-days a week option. Once you choose the 7 days a week plan, the price goes up to $15.00 a day.
The Complete 55 plan starts a bit higher at around $14.29 per day.
However we have to compare apples to apples.
The Uniquely Yours 7-days a week plan is a bit more ($15.00 a day) than the Complete 55 plan ($14.29 a day). So technically the Uniquely Yours plan is only more affordable if you’re choosing to get 5 days a week plan – and adding in your own Flex meals.
(Regardless, Nutrisystem has offered our visitors an instant discount on either plan if you use this discount link here.)
Both plans also give you:
- Weight Loss Coaching with 1-on-1 support 7 days a week
- Free Numi app that helps you track everything in one place
- Free shopping lists, recipes and guides
Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 – Meal Options
The good news? Basically this is simple – they both offer you the same meal options.
You get to up to 130 menu items to choose from with each plan, including the ready-to-go meals, fresh-frozen meals, Restaurant Faves and Hearty Inspirations.
The Hearty Inspirations meals are high-protein, skillet-style meals that can keep you feeling full for up to 5 hours! These meals are especially important on the Complete 55 plan as older women need more protein to help them maintain muscle and keep their blood sugars stable.
However they are offered on both plans.
If you’re worried about feeling hungry as you lose weight, these meals are guaranteed to keep you satisfied until your next snack or meal.
Examples of Hearty Inspirations meals include:
- Caramelized Onion, Mushroom and Turkey Sausage Pizza
- Sesame Beef and Broccoli with Brown Rice
- Asian Style Salmon with Pasta
- Meatloaf with Potatoes and Veggies

So there is basically no difference here.
But it’s worth mentioning – because it’s very easy to think there’s a difference in meals between the plans. And for these 2 plans, there’s really no difference when it comes to your meal options.
Nutrisystem Complete 55 vs Uniquely Yours Max: Quick 9
The Uniquely Yours Max plan does offer something the Complete 55 does not: Quick 9.
This is a specialized jump-start program that you get for your first 2 weeks that can help you lose up to 9 pounds! This will definitely motivate you to keep going when you see results like this.
The Complete 55 plan – because it’s already a specialized weight loss plan – does not offer this program.
Bottom Line?
So what’s the bottom line on the Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours vs Complete 55 diet plans?
Well, both plans have their benefits. And the good news is that you get all of the premium meal options with EITHER plan.
The Uniquely Yours Max plan starts off slightly more affordable – but that is for the 5 day plan.
And you get the Quick 9 jump-start program. If you’re not dealing with perimenopause or menopausal weight symptoms, you may prefer this option.
It’s more of a rounded calorie-controlled diet plan for women in general, regardless of age.
The Complete 55 plan is specifically designed for women who are also dealing with the added challenge of changing hormones, fluctuating blood sugars and stubborn weight that won’t come off.
So it really comes down to your personal situation, goals and preferences at the end of the day.
